Dr. Patty Gently on Substack
@TheGentle Heretic

INFJ heretic-hermit and doc of developmental psychology living in the liminal. A neurodivergent adult tracing the space between trauma, giftedness, and truth through GEARs and Dąbrowski’s TPD. For the hyperneuroplastic who belongs in untamed places.

Gifted Curious Flyer_edited.jpg

Instead of defining giftedness, this 10-session workshop poses questions in a small-group setting about lived experience. Participants follow a guided journey through the concept of whole-person giftedness while delving into the neurobiology of intelligence and the (difficult) history of IQ testing.  Participants find a place to explore gifted stereotypes, needs, social constructs of intelligence, and more.

Hyperneuroplasticity (HNP) @ Nerdstock

The HNP construct serves as a framework to group various neurodivergent-oriented profiles such as autism, ADHD, gifted or twice-exceptional individuals, and those with complex trauma. Rather than focusing on pathologies or deficits, the model explores how these nervous systems operate from a baseline orientation built for transformation, requiring balance to avoid sensory or emotional burnout
